Above and Beyond – Thank you to Foresters volunteers
At Foresters Financial™, we believe in doing more for you, your family and your community. We protect families by investing in member benefits including community grants that create volunteer activities and disaster relief assistance.
On December 5, Foresters is celebrating International Volunteer Day to recognize Foresters members who come together to help us build strong communities throughout the United States and Canada. With 2017 coming to an end, here’s a look back at some volunteer highlights from the year:
Doing More for Communities with Playground Builds
Foresters commitment to community is one of the reasons we partnered with KaBOOM!, a national non-profit dedicated to giving all kids – particularly those growing up in poverty – the childhood they deserve filled with balanced and active play.
Since our partnership began in 2006, Foresters has invested over $13 million1 with KaBOOM! This year, Foresters and KaBOOM! have partnered to build 10 playgrounds with over 320 volunteers coming together to make each and every build a success.
Every child deserves a place to play. If you want to lend a hand and help Foresters and KaBOOM! bring a little magic to a community near you, keep an eye on MyForesters.com for the build dates to be posted. When you register to help, you’ll find out firsthand how fulfilling it is to join a team of volunteers and work together to build a playground for a community in need.
Enriching Lives with Community Volunteer Activities
Every year, we support our members with grants to help them organize inspiring Community Volunteer (CI) activities like volunteer support, care packages, meal programs and more.
As of December 1, 2017, Foresters members have held 760 community volunteer event in the United States and Canada through the Foresters Community Grants program.
As a Foresters member, you can apply for a Foresters Community Grant that allows you to plan a local activity for your family and other Foresters members, creating an exciting and very personal volunteer opportunity.
