Fall into the sweet tastes of the season

fall recipes
As the temperatures start to drop, the mind turns to cozy comfort food like hearty beef stew, warm apple pie and spiced pumpkin bread. Fortunately there are plenty of recipe options and lots of freshly harvested goodies available to make some of the season’s yummiest meals and treats.

Most people have a collection of tried and true family recipes that have been passed down throughout the years. Not only do these recipes always manage to find eager tasters in each new generation, but using them is a wonderful way to remember those who have gone before us, and the happy times spent with loved ones at family celebrations over the years.

Consider choosing some of your favorites, copying them out (either by hand or using a photocopier) and sending them to loved ones as a reminder of the good times you’ve shared together. A collection of treasured recipes rolled up and tied with a pretty ribbon makes a sweet and much-appreciated gift or charming table favor for each place setting. You might even use the recipe cards as invitations to a fall dinner party or Thanksgiving meal. Let your guests know that they’ll be treated to whatever sumptuous menu you’ve sent their way.

While family recipes are always a welcome addition to the fall dinner table, don’t forget that there are thousands of incredible harvest meal and dessert ideas right at your fingertips! The Internet is an incredible resource for home cooks where you can find ideas like crustless apple pie, fresh pumpkin soup, apple stuffed chicken breasts , and even pumpkin fudge!
